A New Gifting Low

Our boys’ play room was bulging with toys.  For those of you who may think there can never be enough toys, you had not seen this room.  A couple weekends ago, Fisherman and I sent the boys outside to play and decided to tackle the heap.  There was no way we could make it through another Christmas without a significant reduction of items in our house.  In the course of the big clean, I found 3 gifts from past Christmas’ that had not been opened.  The cellophane was still on them.  They had gotten tucked away under or behind other items in the room.  Out of sight, out of mind . . . they’ll never remember them.  The items are rewrapped and will again end up under the tree on Christmas morning.  So would that be re-gifting . . . or is it pre-gifting . . . or is it just pathetic!?!

  1. That’s funny! Definitely put them back under the tree. I wonder if they’ll remember them from last year?

  2. GREAT!!!!!! (just on the offchance that they DO remember them from last year — don’t have these be from Santa)

  3. Pathetic. Happy Kwanzaa!

  4. omigosh, I think it is slightly pathetic (given that no one remembered them, perhaps there WERE too many items in that room!), but also damn funny. It will be interesting to see if they recognize the gifts!

  5. Regifting – definitely! They’ll enjoy them. It’s good recycling policy. One should never be wasteful 🙂

  6. Too funny!
